HotSpot Analysis in R

This project was completed in lieu of a Final Assessment for the Geospatial Analysis in R course at Utah State University. I completed this project with a partner, each of our contributions are detailed at the end of the project. 

We analyzed historic and present day beaver presence along Spawn Creek using hotspot analysis. We were able to find historical beaver dams using Google Earth aerial imagery, and we used a GPS at the site to find present dams. These datasets were mapped, and then a hotspot analysis was conducted between them. The image at left is a map showing historic and present dams.
