Watershed Analysis

This is a map of the Coldwater Creek watershed in western Washington. Completed for the Advanced GIS course at Utah State University, this map shows streams and their corresponding orders within the watershed. Each stream comes together to form the Coldwater Creek which drains into Coldwater Lake.
Working on this lab I learned how to use watershed analysis tools including flow direction and flow accumulation and what their respective outputs mean. I learned how to use raster data in a similar way as vector data when creating the Streams layer and analyzing the stream orders. This project also showed me the true importance of carefully labeling, saving, and record keeping when working in ArcGIS.
